As a new attempt at the CPC-6 to bring diverse industrial participation and the presentation of industrial and educational technology development, vendors of industrial technology development and educational software developers are invited to demonstrate their software and products at CPC-6, which represent the state of chemical process control technology and practice. All advanced control products and educational software are invited, which include but not limited to: - process model based control and optimization packages - process modeling and system identification packages - process monitoring and controller assessment packages - educational software and internet-based packages To submit an intent for technology demonstration at CPC-6, vendors and developers are required to send the following information to S. Joe Qin via email, fax, or regular mail: - names of the products or packages - category of the products or packages (e.g., optimization, control, modeling, monitoring, education, etc.) - one paragraph description of the product functions - number of machines (PC, Workstation, etc.) to be used - number of demonstrators intended to participate - major contact person and contact info - whether the products require internet access or not The schedule for a submission to the vendors and software demonstration is: Aug 31, 2000 : Intent to demonstrate at CPC-6 including the above information Oct 15, 2000 : Vendor/developer notification Dec 1, 2000 : Final conformation and registration at CPC-6 Jan 7-12, 2001 : CPC-6 Conference Registration fee schedule: Oct. 2, 2000 : $675/participant Dec. 15, 2000 : $800/participant No other fee is required for the vendors demonstration; however, the vendors are responsible for the demonstration systems setup at the conference site.
