The project is for three years and is planned to start on 1 July 2000 or soon thereafter. The project aims to address on-line nonlinear optimising control of multi-product/fed-batch agile manufacturing processes with particular emphasis on the control of process chemistry. Applicants should have a PhD in a related subject. Experience in process control, optimisation, neural networks, and model predictive control will be an advantage. The salary is on the RA1A scale (16,286 - 24,479 pounds pa) depending on qualification and experience. Applicants should send a full CV and the names and addresses of two referees to: Mrs A.
