This session will focus on the interplay between such constraints and process control. Of interest are contributions that outline theoretical developments or application studies. Relevant topics include: - effects of process optimization/integration on process controllability, - development or application of novel algorithms, - robustness and uncertainty handling, - optimal control for energy conservation and pollution prevention, - plantwide process control strategies for energy conservation and pollution prevention, - real-time controller assessment. Potential contributors are invited to submit an abstract via AIChE's web site (www.aiche.org) by May 1, 2000. The abstract should contain a clear statement as to how Energetic and Environmental Constraints motivate and justify the control-related research work.
