Priority will be given to papers presenting novel theoretical and/or computational results on order reduction and control of nonlinear distributed parameter systems. Papers presenting applications of distributed parameter systems theory to experimental or industrial systems are strongly encouraged. The contribution of the paper to the advancement of the state-of-the-art should be clearly stated in the abstract. A one-page abstract and a completed proposal-to-present (PTP) form must be submitted electronically via the AIChE web page by May 1, 2000 (this is a hard deadline). Further submission details can be found at http://www.aiche.org/annual/. Authors notification of acceptance will be made by June 1, 2000. The CAST 10b programming committee considers it unacceptable to submit the same abstract to more than one session; therefore, such multiple submissions may be disqualified. When sessions are oversubscribed, the committee will move papers to more appropriate sessions and actively lobby for additional sessions from the Meeting Program Chair.
