Model structures of interest encompass the range from first-principles to empirical representations. This session will emphasize novel control, optimization, and modeling techniques applied to biomedical or biotechnological processes, as well as the application of more traditional methods to biological problems. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, model-based optimization, model-based control, process or experimental design, and model identification and (in)validation techniques. Experimental, computational, and theoretical contributions are all welcomed. To start the submission process, go on the World Wide Web to the following address: http://www.aiche.org/annual/ For more information, please contact: Session Chair Robert S.
