However, there are still many open issues regarding the efficient solution of large-scale problems and the applicability of the proposed methodologies in uncertain environments for supply and demand. Papers are sought that describe: (i) modeling, algorithmic development and solution procedures for the short-term scheduling and mid to long term planning of batch and continuous plants, (ii) consideration of uncertain conditions during plant operations as well as in raw material supply and product demands, (iii) large-scale applications of such models, and (iv) integration of scheduling and planning goals within a unified framework.
